Members are advised that LSAV has been successful in obtaining grant funds to undertake the eNVD project. This project will involve saleyards as part of the trial phase. The project will commence shortly with trials expected to start in early 2014. This information is for members only and is not to be redistributed as the government has yet to announce the grant funds publically.
MLA have released new access urls for their suite of market reports. These are contained in the files attached.
A number of Euthanasia courses will be conducted starting this week to train saleyard staff in the humane destruction of livestock. These courses are being conducted by Dr Tristan Jubb and will be conducted in Wycheproof, Horsham and Bendigo over the next two weeks. A further course is likely to be held in October.

The final version of the saleyard animal welfare standards have been released. These are currently undergoing a Regulatory Impact Study which will take around 3 months. This will include public consultation and direct feedback from industry.
